UW Libraries High School Internship

About

NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UW Libraries High School Internship has been cancelled for the summer of 2020. Check back in the spring of 2021 for updates about the 2021 UW Libraries High School Internship.

The UW Libraries High School Internship is a fun, project-based program for students thinking about college.

  • When: Summer 2021 -- dates TBD
  • What: work on digital storytelling, geographic information systems (GIS), and information science projects

The internship is particularly well suited for first-in-family college students or people from groups that are underrepresented in higher education. An interest in librarianship is not a requirement, but it's a plus!

Why Apply?

  • Experience college life
The internship takes place on the UW campus where you’ll get to know its people and resources.
  • Build your portfolio
You’ll complete the internship with a portfolio of finished projects—great for highlighting on your resume or college application.
  • Make connections
Meet other high school students—as well as undergraduates, graduate students, faculty members, and librarians at the UW.
  • Earn some extra cash
The internship comes with a $500 stipend
